McCray Dove & The Dove Brothers Set to Release “A Wonderful Change” at the National Quartet Convention
New album celebrates the timeless sound, tight harmonies, and uplifting message of classic Southern Gospel music.
McCray Dove & The Dove Brothers are set to release their new album, A Wonderful Change, on September 27, 2026, opening night of the National Quartet Convention.
The new project is a collection of songs designed to bring back memories of the golden days of Gospel music—a time when tight harmony, heartfelt lyrics, and songs centered on the love of Christ filled churches, concert halls, and family record players across the country.
A Wonderful Change blends that classic sound with the unmistakable energy of McCray Dove & The Dove Brothers. From powerful songs of faith to hand-clapping, toe-tapping Gospel favorites, the album celebrates the music that has encouraged generations of listeners.
Among the highlights is “If the Whole World Loved Him,” written by legendary songwriter Roni Goss. The album also includes the beloved “He Looked Beyond My Fault,” written by Gospel music icon Dottie Rambo—a song whose timeless message speaks directly to the soul about the grace and love of Christ.
The title song, “A Wonderful Change,” written by Lari Goss, brings another side of the project to life. It is an energetic, hand-clapping, toe-tapping Gospel song that captures the joy and excitement at the heart of the album.
The project also features a special appearance by Ed O’Neal of the Dixie Melody Boys on a song written by Rodney Griffin, bringing together voices and names deeply connected to the Southern Gospel tradition.
For McCray Dove & The Dove Brothers, A Wonderful Change is more than a collection of songs. It is a celebration of the sound and message that made so many people fall in love with Gospel music in the first place—great songs, meaningful lyrics, tight harmony, and an uplifting message of faith.
Fans attending the National Quartet Convention will be among the first to have the opportunity to get the new project when it releases September 27. In a special approach to the release, A Wonderful Change will initially be available exclusively on CD and USB, giving Gospel music fans an opportunity to own a physical copy before the album is released on streaming services at a later date.
Mark your calendars for September 27, 2026. A wonderful change is coming—and it may just sound a little like the Gospel music you remember.
A Night to Remember: Dove Brothers 2026 Homecoming Draws Nearly 700 Attendees
GRIFTON, N.C. — The 2nd Annual Dove Brothers Homecoming was a tremendous success as nearly 700 people gathered for an unforgettable evening of Southern Gospel music, Christian fellowship, and Spirit-filled worship at Grifton Free Will Baptist Church.
The evening featured outstanding performances from The Inspirations and Dawson Road, while legendary Gospel personality Charlie Waller of the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion served as host and emcee, keeping the crowd encouraged and entertained throughout the night.
While the attendance was certainly exciting, the greatest blessing of the evening wasn't found in the numbers—it was the unmistakable presence of the Lord. Hearts were encouraged, lives were touched, and the message of Jesus Christ was lifted high through every song, testimony, and moment of worship.
The Dove Brothers extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, our generous sponsors, Grifton Free Will Baptist Church for once again hosting the event, and each artist who helped make the evening so special. Events like these are only possible because of the support and prayers of so many.
As the excitement from this year's Homecoming continues, plans are already underway for Dove Brothers Homecoming 2027. The lineup for next year's event will be announced soon, and if this year's gathering was any indication, it's sure to be another incredible night of Gospel music and worship.
Thank you for making the 2nd Annual Dove Brothers Homecoming one to remember. We can't wait to see you next year!

Ed's impact on Southern Gospel Music is legendary, and his induction into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame is a testament to his influence. It’s a special episode for us because without Ed O’Neal, McCray Dove might never have gotten his start or formed the Dove Brothers Quartet after his time with the Dixie Melody Boys. Beyond that, Ed O’Neal has been a great mentor to McCray Dove and the Dove Brothers, and we love him dearly.
